Half Frame
Short filmPsychological drama
Every morning, Sara, a hobby photographer, sets two plates on the breakfast table, but only one of them ever gets touched. Half Frame is a short psychological drama about a young woman trying to fix a toxic relationship, and herself. Then her own analog camera shows her what she’s been refusing to see: the man she’s holding on to was never really there.
The story moves between a sunlit kitchen, a forest that slowly darkens and a warm, old-fashioned therapy room. Along the way it explores mental health, self-deception and the thin line between perception and reality. Its premise is simple: a snap of clarity beats unhealthy attachment.
I edited the film (picture, not sound) and built the moodboard that shaped its visual tone. I also designed the poster and the casting call, and handled marketing around the project. My edit earned a nomination for Best Editing at the university film festival.
