Tomar Postcards

GraphiMotion Fusion was an Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme in Tomar, Portugal, combining design, photography and audiovisual media. After an online phase, I spent a week on site in workshops on postcard design, animation, offset printing and augmented reality. Along the way, I learned about the culture and history of the local community.

The task was to create a printed postcard together with an animation that comes alive on your phone when you scan a QR code. It’s traditional print meeting digital technology.

Every participant created their own work. For me, this project was a reminder of how much joy I find in creating and experimenting with visual media. Surrounded by people whose daily work revolves around applied arts, I reconnected with a passion that had always been there.
